With the many options of adhesives and installation systems available today, no matter what your installation needs are there will be a sound and proven system suitable for your project. When consulting with your Modern tiles team member, remember to give as much detail as possible on the situation like the area to be tiled, the substrate you will be tiling to as well as the type of tiles you are thinking of installing. This way you will get all the right advice with the correct recommended installation products.
Aftercare and Maintenance
All projects once completed will need a good maintenance regime to keep the area looking its best. See below for a basic schedule on how to best handle floor maintenance :
Spot Staining : Spot cleaning for spills should be carried out almost immediately. Its typically these types of stains that can become hard to remove if left too long. General spray and wipes and or abrasive cremes will be best here.
General Cleaning : This will entail weekly vacuuming and mopping with a ph neutral detergent to keep an area to a certain level of cleanliness. Doing so will reduce the need for more frequent periodic cleaning.
Periodic Cleaning : This is the big clean in-between the other cleans to get to the stubborn issues. The periodic clean should be done every 3 to 4 months and when done properly generally brings an area back to almost new condition again. This is generally done with a Alkaline detergent along with a nylon scouring pad or brush.
** Please note that some cleaners can potentially cause damage if used incorrectly, so please speak to one of our team members about your situation for the right product**
